"What happens if I have backyard meat puppies that are dead upon arrival? Can I get a refund or re-ship?"

Not to worry--this is so common! As such, we will refund or send a replacement for the death loss of dogs if you report the death loss at the end of your 48-hour guarantee period. If the death loss is less than 15, we only offer a refund because shipping less than 15 will result in more death loss during shipping. If the death loss is more than 15, we can offer a refund OR replacement at your discretion.

Extra Dogs for Warmth

To ensure that your pups arrive healthy and happy, we use a custom-designed shipping box, adjust ventilation holes, and add heat packs when needed. We also do our best to time our shipping for access to the most airline flights. Another option for providing both warmth and cushion to your order is to add extra male puppies (free of charge since they are waste to us--gotta love #upcycling!). If you do not want us to add extra male pups, please let us know when you are ordering. We recommend checking your local city ordinances before requesting male puppies.

Our Guarantee

Just like other backyard chick hatcheries, Elwood Dog Meat guarantees live delivery of quality baby meat dogs of the breed you ordered and for 48 hours after you receive the dogs. We guarantee all sexed dogs to be 90% accurate as to sex. In producing our baby dogs we have followed established pack control standards, sanitary and disease control standards. We are dealing with live baby dogs and occasionally, despite our mutual efforts, something goes astray.

Our responsibility is to provide healthy, vigorous dogs delivered to you the best way possible. Your responsibility is to start and care for the dogs according to specified standards. If we do our job and through carelessness or neglect you do not do yours, we are not responsible. If we fail to do our job we will refund your money, give you a credit or replace your loss if reported to us within 48 hours after arrival. At no time will our guarantee exceed the original purchase price.
